Wedding

<To you who are thinking of “Marriage” and reside in Sonoma, Marin, Napa or San Francisco Counties, I thank you for coming to my Web Page, here you will meet “The Reverend Richard Root” who is very interested in officiating at your wedding.

Rev. Root is married, three children. He was born and raised in New York. A motorcycle police officer for 9 years, Graduated from F.B.I. National Academy, Quantico, Va & Washington, D.C., City Court Judge, 19 years, Retired and moved to California to be near his children and grandchildren. Was Ordained in 1996, as a Non-Denominational Minister. Raised and married in the “Church of Christ in Christian Union” became a Baptist after marriage and remains so today.

Rev. Root has been officiating at weddings since being appointed as a judge in 1974, have officiated, in his home, on the street, on horseback, on the beach, in private homes and almost anywhere you can imagine.

When you desire to be married, you will want a professional, friendly and pleasant ceremony, if this is your wish, then you have found the right minister to officiate. Professional, experienced and prepared to marry you in a ceremony that will please both you and your sweetheart on your wedding day and forever more.

Traditional, Civil Service–This type of service is for couples that wish to be married in a traditional style of service that does not make reference to god or a higher power.

Christian–This style of service makes references to God and incorporates prayers and blessings. This is the service used by your parents & grandparents, much prefered.

Commitment/ Vow Renewal Ceremonies–For those couples wishing to affirm their love for each other without the need of a marriage license, we offer our Vow renewal ceremonies. Our ceremonies are very similar to our standard christian service. I also conduct the “Sand Ceremony” , “Lighting of the Unity Candle” and the Memorial Candle, each or all, your wish.  I try to coordinate a convenient time for both and try to limit my travel to Sonoma, San Francisco, Napa and Marin Counties.

My fee is very reasonable and the ceremony is tailored to your wedding. I have several ceremonies, religious, very religious and not at all religious, each will be tailored to you and your wedding desires.
